HLY-GEN-04: Pipe Storage Yard Grade Leveling, Safe Tier Stacking & OSHA Safety Protocol

1. Storage Yard Concrete Paving & Drainage

Yard foundation must be compacted (compaction ratio $\ge$ 0.95) and paved with $\ge$ 180 mm Grade C25 concrete slab, rated for $\ge$ 150 kPa.

Slope yard surface 0.5%–1.0% toward drainage swales to prevent rainwater pooling and subbase softening.

DN300 – DN600 Pipes: Max allowable stack height is 4 to 5 tiers;

DN800 – DN1200 Pipes: Max allowable stack height is 3 tiers;

DN1350 – DN1800 Heavy Pipes: Max allowable stack height is 2 tiers;

DN2000+ & Trenchless Jacking Pipes: Single-tier ground placement only. Stacking strictly prohibited!

Chock the bottom row on both flanks using 35° hardwood triangular wedges (min height 120 mm).

Alternate bell and spigot ends in successive tiers; place 50 mm thick timber runners between layers to prevent domino collapse accidents.
