1. Monthly Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) of Welded Roots

Section Wear: If any load-bearing pin or hook throat section thickness wears by $\ge$ 10%, condemn immediately.

Deformation: If the hook throat opening increases by $\ge$ 10% or if permanent bend deflection is detected, retire the rigging.

Polyurethane Sleeve: Replace damaged polyurethane buffer sleeves promptly to prevent steel contact gouging green pipes.

Perform proof load tests annually at 125% of rated SWL; suspend 100 mm above ground for 10 minutes to verify zero plastic elongation.
